The Windham Herald

18 August 1792

MADRID, May 15. The King has ordered eight brigantines to be fitted out in the port of Cadiz, for the purpose of sailing along all the coasts of the Spanish possessions, and to procure a degree of knowledge of them, sufficient to enable them to form an atlas, for the benefit of navigators.

We learn that the ships which failed two years ago under the command of Don Alexander Malaspina, to make discoveries of the southern coasts of America, are arrived in good condition at Acapulco, in New-Spain, form whence Malaspina means to proceed on his voyage.
